Late Park Bo-ram’s Agency To Take Legal Actions Against Malicious Rumors About The Deceased
The agency of the late singer Park Bo-ram made an official statement.
On April 14th, the late Park Bo-ram’s agency, XANADU Entertainment (hereinafter XANADU), announced, “Currently, defamatory posts and comments containing malicious rumors and unfounded false information about the late Park Bo-ram are being indiscriminately circulated through online communities, YouTube, and SNS.”
The agency said, “Park Bo-ram has been suffering from malicious comments since her debut due to unconfirmed information, and this fake news that is still applied to the deceased is a clear criminal act that is no different from killing the deceased one more time.”
“We ask that all false and speculative videos and posts be taken down immediately,” it said. “If this behavior continues afterwards, we will take strong legal civil and criminal measures, and we will continue to take stern legal action after the funeral process.”
Finally, XANADU added, “We will deliver our position on the funeral procedures and cause of death of the deceased as soon as it is confirmed.“
Meanwhile, according to the Namyangju Nambu Police Station in Gyeonggi Province, Park Bo-ram was found collapsed in the bathroom of her acquaintance’s house at around 9:55 p.m. on April 11th. During a drinking with two female acquaintances, she did not come out after entering the bathroom, her acquaintances reported to 119 after finding her collapsed in the bathroom. Park was taken to the hospital by firefighters, but passed away at around 11:17 a.m at 30 years old.
No suspicion of murder or circumstantial evidence has been found. The police will ask the National Forensic Service to conduct an autopsy to investigate the exact cause of death.
