Kim Ji-won Expresses Thoughts On Her Character Hong Hae-in In “Queen Of Tears”
Actress Kim Ji-won talked about her character and daily life in the interviews with fashion magazine COSMOPOLITAN
On April 17th, COSMOPOLITAN released an interview with actress Kim Ji-won, who decorated the cover of the May issue.
When asked about what she wanted to keep forever, Kim Ji-won said, “As I get older, I can feel changes and new values that emerge from existing values. With such repeated experiences, I gradually have the attitude of learning new things every day instead of thinking, ‘I’ll at least keep it like that’. While portraying Hong Hae-in in ‘Queen of Tears’, I learned about being honest and brave”.
She continued, “There’s a line of Hae-in that I really like. ‘I think love is not about doing great things, but it’s to stay with each other no matter what’. I believe that love can be a huge source of support even when you’re happy or exhausted”, adding “Looking back on my career, I think all the characters I played were wonderful people whom I wanted to support. They’re very independent and strong-minded, people with clear beliefs and values. I learned many things from them”.
Revealing that she enjoyed Netflix’s “Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area” and “Chinatown, the actress said, “I will do my best regardless of any project”, then expressed her desire to challenge a genre work.
Starring Kim Ji-won, “Queen of Tears” reached a new rating record of 20.7%, ranking second among the highest-rating dramas in tvN history.
Before “Queen of Tears”, Kim Ji-won also left great impressions on viewers with her acting performances as “Descendants of the Sun” Yoon Myung-joo, “My Liberation Notes” Yeom Mi-jung and “Fight For My Way” Choi Ae-ra.
On the 19th, COSMOPOLITAN Korea also released another interview video with Kim Ji-won. The actress talked about her daily routines and how she has been doing lately after completing the filming of “Queen of Tears”.
She also shared, “I’m watching ‘Queen of Tears’. Since it’s my drama, I originally didn’t search for it but I wanted to watch it. So now, my day is all about ‘Queen of Tears, song playlists and my dog”, adding “I’m also into nature and scenery these days. It was hard to feel it properly during the filming period because I was busy. Not long ago, I found a tree that just bloomed”.
