K-netizens React To Min Hee-jin’s Impact With ‘Min Hee-jin Core’

Recently, a netizen in Nate Pann drew attention with a post titled, “Min Hee-jin did something that even G-Dragon couldn’t do”.

The netizen shared a comment from a person claiming to be working in the fashion field. Mentioning the word ‘ILLIT core’ claimed by the girl group’s company Belift Lab, this person said, “I’ve been in this industry for years but never heard of this term. NewJeans, a group with huge influence in the fashion world among women in their 10s and 20s, has never been coined as ‘NewJeans core’. Even G-Dragon, the greatest fashion icon of Korea, couldn’t even create ‘GD core’.”

The person who wrote the comment defined “core” as a term to refer to clothes that are “normal” but spread among the public, not fancy stage outfits, and ILLIT’s clothes are just stage outfits that ordinary people cannot wear outside. 

In addition, the netizen shared articles using the term “Min Hee-jin core” to refer to the viral fashion of ADOR’s CEO Min Hee-jin at her first press conference and photos of how this styling spread widely among the public.
