K-netizens Point Out BTS & NewJeans Overlapping Advertisements & Promotions

Netizens found out that NewJeans had taken over BTS’s advertisements during the group’s military service hiatus

A netizen in theqoo made a list of advertisements and promotional activities of BTS that were later transferred to NewJeans when the members enlisted, drawing keen attention.

The list includes Jungkook’s Cocacola OST, Seoul Metropolitan Government Ambassador, New York Rocking Eve appearance (the highest-rating year-end broadcast in the US), Lollapalooza, McDonald’s package & CF, Cocacola package & CF & OST, Lotte Gum Japanese CF, Shinhan Bank, Billboard cover, etc.

The netizen added, “Of course, the contracts with iPhone and luxury brands as ambassadors might have been opportunities achieved by NewJeans with their popularity and abilities. But no matter how famous they are how can a group with only 1-2 years of experience get all those promotions without HYBE’s support”, adding “NewJeans’ advertisements and promotional activities accidentally overlap with what BTS did during the group’s hiatus for military service”
