Ha Jung-woo Recommended Names For His Newphew But Got Rejected, “I Want To Get Married Before Turning 50”
Actor Ha Jung-woo (46 years old) expressed his desire to get married within the next four years after seeing his nephew
On June 14th, Ha Jung-woo had an interview at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul about the new movie “Hijacking”, scheduled to premiere on the 21st.
Apart from talks related to his upcoming movie “Hijacking”, Ha Jung-woo revealed his feelings about becoming an uncle recently. Ha Jung-woo’s younger brother and CEO of Workhouse Company Kim Young-hoon married actress Hwang Bo-ra in November 2022 and welcomed their son last month.
The actor said, “I went to visit my nephew not long ago. The baby is still being called by his fetus name, but his name has been decided recently. It feels so great to have a nephew”. He added, “Looking at my nephew, I also want to get married and have children now. I really want to have a family before turning 50”.
In particular, Ha Jung-woo drew laughter as he revealed an anecdote of when he faced opposition while trying to give his nephew a name. Mentioning the name he offered and got rejected, the actor said, “I suggested some names like Kim Ji-hong, Kim Yu-won, etc. I told them to name the first child Kim Il-sung, the second child Kim Jung-il, and the third child Kim Jung-eun. I often tease them like that”.
Appearing on a TV Chosun program on June 10th, Hwang Bo-ra shared her concerns about naming her son, saying “Ha Jung-woo recommended the baby’s fetus name. He also gave suggestions such as Kim Seon-hong, Kim Chi-young, Kim Ji-hong, Kim Ga-ram, Kim Dae-seon, etc. I don’t like any of them”, delivering an honest review.
In fact, aside from his nephew, Ha Jung-woo also had a younger brother recently. Ha Jung-woo’s father, actor Kim Yong-gun had a child with his lover, who is 39 years younger than him, and had his third son in 2021 at the age of 75.
