This pictorial was done in collaboration with Cartier’s Trinity jewelry. Byun Woo-seok’s stylish handling of the jewelry caught attention.

In the interview, Byun Woo-seok reflected on his current popularity, “It’s definitely not a dream, but it feels like I’m dreaming. So many people recognize me, see me deeply and like me even more. I wonder if there will be another moment like this in my life.”

He also revealed that after receiving the script for the final episode of “Lovely Runner”, he cried alone because he did not want to part with the project. He said, “There were so many beautiful scenes in episode 16. Sol and Seon-jae are definitely happy, but I was so sad that I cried. It finally felt real that it was ending when I saw the script.”

Byun Woo-seok added, “After barely pulling myself together, I called the writer, who said she felt the same way. She said it was because she didn’t want to let go of Seon-jae and the project. Although I will work on other projects, I don’t think I will let go of Seon-jae. Whenever I miss him, I will rewatch the drama. I want to keep him as a friend forever.”

He also shared the reason he was able to endure the eight years since his debut as an actor in 2016. He confessed, “I kept failing auditions and received a lot of criticism. I doubted if this was the right path. It was tough. Someone says you need to try something for 10 years. So, I decided to give it 10 years. If it still didn’t work out, I would leave without regret. With that mindset, I kept going.”

He continued, “I have always supported myself. There were many times I cried on the subway ride home after a failed audition. At those times, I would tell myself, ‘You can do it, Woo-seok. Your chance will come. You’re a good person, so trust yourself.’ Although I’m not a fatalist, I believe that everyone is in their place for a reason.

Byun Woo-seok concluded “What I realized during this interview is that I’m a really lucky person. At the same time, I feel proud of myself. I must have lived diligently“, touching the hearts of his fans.
