BTS’s J-Hope Bought 12-Billion-Won Penthouse In Full Cash

It was recently reported that BTS member J-hope, who is serving in the army, purchased a penthouse in Afer Hangang

According to Tenasia on June 20th, BTS’s J-hope purchased an Afer Hangang penthouse located in Seobinggo-dong, Yongsang-gu, Seoul with cash. It’s a two-story building with a total area of 273.86㎡ across the two levels.

J-Hope received the penthouse in 2020 and completed the transfer of ownership on the 10th of this month. According to the real estate industry, the price of an Afer Hangang penthouse is about 12 billion won.

With an aim to become a top-tier residential town, Afer Hangang consists of 26 buildings with areas ranging from 205.84㎡ to 273.94㎡ across 5 basements to 10 floors above the ground. The buildings were designed by the renowned architect Yoo Hyun-joon, who is working as a Professor at Hongi University.

The Afer Hangang is located next to Yongsan Park in Seoul, where residents can enjoy the view of Yongsan Park and the Han River from their homes. Residents will also be provided with private services such as limousine service, house cleaning service, and access to premium community facilities.

Previously, J-Hope made headlines for purchasing two luxury Trimage apartments in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul. He bought a 32-pyeong apartment in 2016, then a 62-pyeong apartment with 3.7 billion won in cash. He still owns both buildings.

J-Hope enlisted in the military in April last year and currently serves as an assistant in Army Infantry Division 36. He will be discharged on October 17th. Recently, J-Hope came to greet BTS’s Jin on his discharge.

During his military service period, J-Hope still achieved impressive music records, such as sweeping the US Billboard chart. Released on March 29th, J-Hope’s special album “HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1” entered the Billboard 200. The pop-up event to commemorate the album release also aroused explosive attention.
