Bona on “Omniscient Interfering View”, “After appearing in ‘Twenty-five Twenty-one’, people recognize me even when I’m wearing a mask”

Singer-actress Bona said she could realize her popularity these days since people recognized her even when she was wearing a mask.

On the broadcast of MBC’s “Omniscient Interfering View”, which aired on April 16th, WJSN member Bona and rapper Be’O appeared as guests. The two, who recently received gained keen attention from the public, talked about the moment they realized their popularity.

Bona became more famous after playing the role of Ko Yu-rim, a fencer and member of the national team, in the drama “Twenty-five Twenty-one”. Bona said, “Before, people didn’t recognize me when I wore a hat or a mask, but these days, they recognize me right away. Or you can just look at my schedule”. 

Bona, who is carrying out activities as an idol from the girl group WJSN and as an actress at the same time, said, “Everyone is saying that my image doesn’t match Yu-rim as her double life at all after watching my idol fancams”. Lee Young-jae commented, “It feels like Go Yu-rim is doing a side job as Bona. That’s because your acting is so good”.

Bona said, “The viewers’ response is much better than I thought, so I’m living happily and warmly” and revealed that she received many casting offers for her next work.

Be’O, who rose to stardom with the hit song “Counting Stars”, also talked about the moment he realized his popularity. Be’O explained, “In fact, no one recognized me when I came outside during the time I was on ‘Show Me The Money’. But when I went to get a vaccine recently, everyone asked me to take a photo with them”.
