AKMU Completed 10th Debut Anniversary Concert Full Of Emotions, “See You Guys On Our 20th Anniversary”

Celebrating their 10th debut anniversary, AKMU successfully completed “2024 AKMU 10th Anniversary Concert [10VE]” at KSPO DOME in Olympic Park, Seoul on the 15th and 16th of June. Filling the hall with a total of 21,000 people for two days, the group proved their true value of “trustworthy singers”.

It was a perfect concert with live performances that perfectly portrayed AKMU’s musical journey of 10 years. Moreover, the message of love conveyed through their songs created great synergy and unforgettable memories with fans.

#The power of AKMU’s music: 160-Minute Thrilling Live Performance

Following the opening with a children’s choir for the song “Last Goodbye”, AKMU showed up and sang “Every Little Thing” and raised the atmosphere with a stage of “BENCH (with Zion.T)” and “RE-BYE” accompanied by musical actors. The audience then enjoyed various music genres in AKMU’s music world through hit songs such as “NAKKA”, “DINOSAUR” and Lee Su-hyun’s unreleased solo songs.

YG’s high-quality production was also amazing. Aside from AKMU’s overwhelming live singing skills, the concert impressed the audience with its abundant live sound combined with the harmony of a children’s choir, string, brass, band, and musical actors to maximize the artistry of performances, increase the audience’s immersion, and show a huge set with a mysterious atmosphere resembling a fairytale, using LEDs, lasers, fire, etc.

The stage of [10VE] was decorated with the concept of a wedding, adding fun to the performances. Singers Lee Hyo-ri and IU, who are known to have special relationships with AKMU, showed up on the stage as surprise guests on the 15th and 16th and doubled fans’ excitement by delivering heartwarming congratulations to AKMU on their 10th debut anniversary.

Memories of “K-pop Star 2”, which marked the beginning of AKMU, were also recalled. The entire concert venue exploded with enthusiasm as soon as they started performing “Is It Ramen”, “Crescendo”, and “Foreigner’s Confession”. Various elements stimulating nostalgia such as voice narration of when they won “K-pop Star 2” and VCRs containing the siblings’ childhood moments, were added to the concert, making it become a comprehensive gift set.

AKMU also poured their sincerity toward fans at the concert. They participated in the entire production process, from playing instruments to adding comments to enhance the completeness of the stages and interacting closely with fans. In response, fans shouted loudly, chanted enthusiastically and waved their lightsticks according to the performances. 

Expressing their feelings, AKMU said, “We would like to sincerely thank fans and AKKADEMY, who have been with us for a long time. We tried our best to deliver various emotions, including joy and sadness, in this concert”, adding “We are making a song that goes well with AKMU’s music color, so please look forward to our future activities.
