Min Hee-jin Never Mentioned BLACKPINK as HYBE’s Target Like Rumors?
There are various claims about Min Hee-jin mentioning that HYBE attempted to copy BLACKPINK, but this never happened.
On April 25, CEO Min Hee-jin of NewJeans’ agency, ADOR, held a press conference where she addressed rumors surrounding the HYBE-ADOR feud, as well as exposed various statements and wrong-doings of HYBE.
Following this press conference, various posts appeared, claiming that Min Hee-jin mentioned HYBE paying for NewJeans’ brand deals in an attempt to copy and compete with BLACKPINK.
A post even included photos from the press conference, claiming that texts in the photo reveal Bang Si-hyuk’s wishes to make “everyone forget about BLACKPINK”.
As a result, fans of BLACKPINK have expressed anger on SNS platforms such as X (formerly Twitter), but in actuality, Min Hee-jin never mentioned BLACKPINK.
In particular, in the screenshot of Min Hee-jin’s text messages with Bang Si-hyuk, the two was simply discussing Min Hee-jin’s personality and request towards Bang Si-hyuk, with BLACKPINK’s name not appearing at all.
Additionally, the claims about HYBE playing for NewJeans’ brand deal were not from Min Hee-jin’s press conference, but from a review on platform BLIND, which gathered verified workers from various companies.
As a result, it can be said that the claims about BLACKPINK was not confirmed at all, and so should not be taken as if they were facts.
